Abstract
With reading being such an essential part of education, teachers need resources to help with instructional strategies. This scoping review will gather information on one such resource in teaching reading. It focuses on a scoping review of the information available on teachers using music to teach phonemic awareness. The scoping review will investigate the trends from 1995-2021 in teachers using music to teach phonemic awareness, trends in instructional strategies and research methods for teachers using music to teach phonemic awareness, and assessing or looking at the outcomes of teachers using music to teach phonemic awareness. The researcher used keywords for reading and music to gain the best collection of articles. This collection will be converged and offered as a dissertation study on using music to teach phonemic awareness.
