Abstract
In 1833, Roscoe Greene Jennings was born in Leeds, Maine. Jennings would use his love of learning and teaching to help pay for college and medical school. After medical school Jennings became a doctor, Arkansan, surgeon, prisoner of war, and one of eight founders of the School of Medicine of Arkansas Industrial University, which is today UAMS. During his lifetime Dr. Jennings was a prominent Arkansas figure. Over the years his name has faded in Arkansas history. This biographical thesis project aims to show Dr. Jennings life through an online digital exhibit. The exhibit will be developed on WordPress and will be displayed in a chronological narrative. The goal of this digital exhibit is to aid people learning about medical history in Arkansas. The exhibit and process paper will be on permanent loan to Historic Washington State Park in Washington, Arkansas.
