Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the back-squat exercise and determine how this exercise correlates with vertical jump in Division I female volleyball players. Athletic data from current and previous collegiate volleyball athletes from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Volleyball Program were obtained, analyzed, and reviewed during the spring training/conditioning cycle. Squat maxes, standing vertical jump, and approach vertical jump were tested on the first day of the spring training session (first day of January training), and then retested after a six-week training cycle.
