Abstract
This thesis examines how I learned the workplace genre and environment of the UALR Center for Arkansas History and Culture in order to write documentation, user guides, and policies and procedures as a technical writing graduate assistant. I examine my experience by using genre theory, genre ecology, and activity theory.
