Abstract
This thesis analyzes the construction of Little Rock, Arkansas City Hall. It provides a background of local architecture and history set against broader trends in United States Public Architecture. In particular, the paper explores the Pulaski County [Arkansas] Chancery Court case filed by attorney's for J.N. Hieskell against Mayor W.E. Lenon. Little Rock City Hall was designed by Charles Thompson, an exploration of Thompson's life and projects are also included in this paper. The appendices provide the full text ruling of the Chancery Court as well as Mayor Lenon's response to plaintiffs against him.
