Abstract
To celebrate is to rejoice, appreciate, and fully marvel. For nearly a decade I have manipulated paint and imposed upon canvas using various methods and techniques in order to invent art. However, of all that I have explored and learned, one discovery will be celebrated in my exhibits for decades to come, that is color. Color resonates with great authority. Noted scholar and artist Robert Henri said, "The value of an image rests in its constructive beauty. Its story, the fact that it is about a man, a boy, a landscape, an event which transpires, is merely incidental to its creation." The value of my own work is found in color. Color creates the constructive beauty that defines my body of work. The following thesis will explain how color, along with scale, surface application, and subject creates the utmost experience for all viewers
