Abstract
This thesis layers memoir and research in a frank and often funny contemplation of midlife. It documents the process of reviewing the first half of my life in order to prepare for and embrace the second half. Included is a look at various views of the stages of life, a glimpse at midlife crisis, and a suggested course of action to help others pass successfully through this complicated transition.
