Abstract
The following piece is a healing memoir which was written as the thesis project for the Master of Arts program in Professional and Technical Writing at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. The memoir details the author's diagnosis and subsequent battle with breast cancer as a 25-year-old wife and mother to two children. The author used web logs (blogs) to write about her life before, during, and after her diagnosis. As she began working on her thesis project in graduate school, she realized this was her healing narrative. The author collected and lightly edited her original blog postings from 2006-2009 into the following document. The prologue gives some foresight into the memoir and the epilogue discusses additional metacognitive and theoretical aspects of blogging and healing.
