Abstract
"Finding Ms. Gladden: A Writing Teacher's Confessional Journey to Self-Discovery" is a collection of stories detailing my journey to develop the "teacher's persona." The beginning stories detail my experiences in the substitute teaching classroom, the University Writing Center, and the teaching assistant training workshop. The stories at the end of the journey deal with my adventures on the first day of class as a first time college-level writing instructor. The exploration of the development of my "teaching persona" ends with the discovery of my true teaching self.
