Building Community in Southwest Little Rock: Easter at Life Line Baptist Church

Life Line Baptist Church is located at the corner of Baseline and Chicot in Southwest Little Rock, a location where the church has stood for 105 years. A fixture at this crossroads and in the community, Life Line’s purpose statement comes from Matthew 22:36-40: “loving God and loving our neighbors.”

One way that Life Line Baptist lives out this purpose is through serving as a place where the community can gather. Their trunk-or-treat event brings out over a thousand people each October and they expect hundreds to attend their Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31 at 10:30 am.

The Easter event will feature free Easter pictures, thousands of eggs with individually-wrapped candy, and a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. One of the leaders of Life Line Baptist Church remarked, “We have been doing this for ten years. The goal is to the proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and the greatest news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also do it so the community will have a good, safe, family-friendly, free event.”
